Super raffle prize with a difference

- Robert Fairnie

People in the Stirling area are being given the chance to win a Ford Fiesta for just a pound – all while supporting a good cause.

Strathcarron Hospice is urging supporters to take part in its annual summer car raffle in partnership with used car dealer Forth Carz on Drip Road.

Entry is £1 and all cash raised will help the hospice continue its work in supporting people with terminal illnesses.

Claire Macdonald, business development fundraiser, is encouraging people to get involved.

She said: “Last year our car raffle raised over £33,000 for the hospice and this made a huge difference to local people facing a terminal illness and their families.

“We currently need to raise over £12,900 a day just to keep our services running so the car raffle really is a fantastic way to support us to do just that.”

Colin Dennis from Forth Carz added: “We are delighted to support Strathcarron Hospice and hope that we can raise even more this year.

“The team at the hospice provide the highest levels of care to local people at such difficult times, and we are a company who will always strive to support them where we can.”

Tickets for the raffle can be bought on the Strathcarron Hospice web page, in any of the hospice shops, or at Forth Carz.
