Ewan McKenna and his band will recre­ate Nir­vana’s epic MTV Un­plugged per­for­mance, which took place in Novem­ber 1993 just months be­fore Kurt Cobain’s death, at the Macrobert on Sun­day, Oc­to­ber 14.

Fresh from wow­ing au­di­ences with his nat­u­ral and eerily Cobain-es­que vo­cals in ‘The 27 Club’the­atre show around Europe, Ewan McKenna and his band recre­ate the cel­e­brated con­cert.

The band will au­then­ti­cally and ac­cu­rately per­form the en­tire con­cert which took place in New York’s Sony Mu­sic Stu­dios. It will fea­ture Nir­vana clas­sics like‘All Apolo­gies’, ‘About a Girl’and cov­ers of David Bowie’s ‘The Man Who Sold the World’as well as blues leg­end Lead­belly’s‘Where Did You Sleep Last Night.’
