Chance to learn about ‘midlife mayhem’

-

Midlife challenges including the menopause are up for discussion at a women’s cafe event next month.

The Peloton Conversation Cafe was set up by wellbeing coach Jane Milne.

She established Peloton Wellbeing sessions last year to bring women together to make new friends and give them a voice.

She said:“I saw a need for more safe spaces where women could meet other women for a good chat, make new friends, share their experiences, laugh or even cry together, basically somewhere they could feel valued and heard.

“There are simple but important ground rules around respecting each other, giving each other time to finish our sentences, understanding that we might have different opinions but being willing to be accepting of that and knowing that what’s said during a session stays in the session.”

The session in Stirling’s Recyke-A-Bike cafe on November 28 from 7.15-9pm will talk about ‘Midlife Mayhem and the Menopause’.

Jane said:“It can be a really challenging time for many women. They might feel a bit lost, maybe want to try new things but struggle with self-belief and confidence or are struggling with brain fog and hot flushes.

“The cafe provides an opportunity to meet other women who might be experiencing those same things. ”

The event is in Recyke-A-Bike’s community cafe in Alloa Road, Causewayhead. To book a place visit www.pelotonwellbeing.co.uk.
