‘System kept under review’

Stirling Observer - - FRONT PAGE -

Aberfoyle and Buchlyvie practice manager John McL eod said their appointments system was kept under review.

In response to the complaints, he told the Observer: “Our access to appointments has increased, with us offering a proportion of our appointments bookable on the day and bookable in advance.

“We continually monitor them to strike the right balance.

“Patients may find it difficult to book appointments if they are requesting a specific GP on a specific date or time but I am sure this will be the case in most practices.”

An NHS Forth Valley spokesperson added: “The Aberfoyle and Buchlyvie practice is also carrying out work to review demand and capacity across both locations and plan to give an update on this work at the (December 6) meeting.”
