Pub is flushed with success

-

A Stirling pub has won acclaim for the quality and standards of its toilets in the Loo of the Year Awards.

The Crossed Peels in Spittal Street, a Wetherspoon pub, has been awarded a platinum rating by inspectors – the highest possible. The inspectors made unannounced visits to thousands of toilets across the UK.

All are graded from bronze to platinum with unacceptable toilets not graded at all.

Criteria includes décor and maintenance, cleanliness, accessibility, hand washing and drying equipment and overall management.

The pub’s manager Stephen Reynolds said: “Staff ensure the toilets are in first-class condition at all times and it is great this has been recognised by the inspectors.”
