Busi­ness sur­vey


Clack­man­nan­shire and Stir­ling’s Em­ployer En­gage­ment Fo­rum has put to­gether a sur­vey for busi­nesses in the area.

It is aimed at shap­ing busi­ness sup­port in ar­eas in­clud­ing skills, re­cruit­ment, health, work­place learn­ing, spe­cial­ist ad­vice, and fund­ing.

It fol­lows a sur­vey com­pleted by 130 sole traders and busi­nesses last year.

Stir­ling Coun­cil has since pro­vided fund­ing to hire re­searcher Bryan Quinn to build upon work car­ried out last year.

Mr Quinn said this week: “This sur­vey is for ev­ery busi­ness in Stir­ling and Clack­man­nan­shire, big or small, even if you are sole trader op­er­at­ing with­out any staff.

“By tak­ing just a few min­utes to com­plete the sur­vey, busi­nesses will be help­ing to make sure that the ap­pro­pri­ate sup­port is be­ing pro­vided to help lo­cal busi­nesses to thrive.”

The Clack­man­nan­shire and Stir­ling Em­ployer En­gage­ment Fo­rum in­cludes around 20 or­gan­i­sa­tions, in­clud­ing both lo­cal au­thor­i­ties, who pro­vide busi­ness sup­port and train­ing in the area.

A re­port will be pub­lished, and a fol­low up event is planned for next year.
