New edition of book shows Thornhill through the ages

A new expanded edition of a book on Thornhill’s rich history was launched last week.

‘On the Edge of Everywhere’ first published in 1996, has been updated by historian Stuart James McCulloch. Here are some of old photos of the village which were taken early in the 20th century. ‘On the Edge of Everywhere’ is available from the Thornhill Village Store for £10 from this Monday, November 12 and is a must read for anyone with an interest in the area.
