Legal team strengthened as two historic city practices join forces
Two of Stirling’s oldest legal practices are delighted to announce the amalgamation of their businesses with effect from November 1, 2018.
The firm of Jardine Donaldson, 80 Port Street, Stirling and 18/22 Bank Street, Alloa can trace the history of their Stirling practice back to 1865 when Alexander Jenkins was in practice from premises in Broad Street.
He was joined in partnership in 1873 by John Jenkins and later by Joseph Jardine and the firm have been in continuous practice from their current premises at 80 Port Street, Stirling since 1881.
Mathie MacLuckie have been in continuous practice in Stirling since 1825 when James Mathie set up in business in Baxters Wynd (now Baker Street) and was later joined in partnership by Robert McLuckie.
More recently operating from premises in Dumbarton Road and latterly Murray Place the partners and staff have now relocated to the offices of Jardine Donaldson at 80 Port Street, Stirling.
John Barr and Graham Cunningham, both partners with Mathie MacLuckie, join as consultants with Jardine Donaldson and Victoria Taylor as an associate.
The amalgamated businesses will continue under the name of Jardine Donaldson and offer a full range of legal services including residential and commercial property (including sales, purchases, re-mortgages, title transfers), land acquisition, commercial lease preparation and negotiation, Wills, Powers of Attorney, Guardianships and other estate planning services, estate and trust administration, child custody and family law matters, divorce, separation, pre and post nuptial agreements and general civil disputes and litigation.
