Thank you to everyone who visited the festival and made it a success. Buttercup Dementia Cafe The cafe meets in Allan Church Community Hall on Mondays at 1.45-3.30pm. It is a dementia friendly well-being community cafe, helping people and their carers with socialisin­g and activities. This is open to all members of the community with or without ailments. It particular­ly targets the memory and well-being of members of society. If you feel you know someone you think it might help in any way just bring them along or come yourself just to find out about the cafe. All welcome. Murrayfiel­d UF Church Thanks to the Bannockbur­n Primary School pupils who came to the church on Friday and helped to pack 53 shoeboxes with gifts for Operation Christmas Child. Sunday, November 18 is the last date for bringing shoeboxes to church. The Tea in the Park walking group’s destinatio­n on Friday, November 16 is the Smith Museum, meeting there at 2.30pm. Guild is holding a Cheese and Wine night on Monday, November 19 in the Upper Hall from 7.30pm, tickets still available from any committee member, £10 per ticket. Due to the event, there will no badminton club which will resume on Monday, November 26. There will be a coffee morning on Saturday, December 8 from 10am. Tickets £2. St Columba’s Church Sunday service at 11am will be led by Rev Alex Millar. Mr Ross McGowan will give an organ recital on Sunday, November 19 at 3pm in aid of church funds.
