Elsi’s Scot­tish wel­come for guests

A del­e­ga­tion from the Shang­hai Print­ing Trade As­so­ci­a­tion was hosted by Stir­ling busi­ness­woman Elsi Dun­can re­cently while on on a fact find­ing mis­sion to the UK.

Pres­i­dent Mr Li, also vice pres­i­dent of the Print­ing Tech­nol­ogy As­so­ci­a­tion of China, was re­search­ing dig­i­tal com­mu­ni­ca­tion dur­ing the visit.

Elsi, man­ag­ing di­rec­tor of D Signs Ltd based at STEP, Stir­ling vis­ited China last year at Mr Li’s in­vi­ta­tion as a VIP guest at the open­ing of The Pa­per Art Ex­hi­bi­tion.

She was happy to re­turn the hospi­tal­ity, also or­gan­is­ing trans­la­tors for the day in Glas­gow. The af­ter­noon ses­sion was pre­sented by David Sime, MD of On­cor Video who also de­liv­ers Google An­a­lyt­ics for Google Garage.

That evening, the as­sem­bly en­joyed a Chi­nese ban­quet, hosted by Mr Li, where gifts were ex­changed. The Scot­tish party were pre­sented with silk scarves based on Bud­dhist cave paint­ings and the Chi­nese del­e­gates were pre­sented with McQueen Gin from the Trossachs Dis­tillery and a DC Thom­son Scots cal­en­dar.
