Stirling MP Stephen Kerr has given his support to the Commonwealth War Graves Foundation, a charity responsible for maintaining Commonwealth war graves across the UK.
The charity is responsible for the upkeep of 22 graves in the Stirlingshire area.
Receiving both private and public funding, the group helps to preserve the memories of those who died serving the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth during both world wars.
Mr Kerr said: “We’ve recently seen in the Observer stories from people who have found out about relatives using the information available from this organisation. The work of the foundation helps to keep these memories alive and deserves our full support.
Mr Kerr has also joined the Royal British Legion as an associate member, a position open to anyone who wishes to support the organisation and its work.
He added: “I would also encourage people to consider joining the British Legion and help their invaluable work as well.”
