Riverside sunk by gr-eight United show

Loganlea Utd ........ 8 Riverside Ams ...... 0

Riverside were taught a lesson in finishing by a good Loganlea side on Saturday in their RJM Sports Stirling and District AFA Division One match. The local lads twice missed one on ones with the Loganlea keeper early in the match before they were hit by two quick goals.

The game seemed reasonably even for long spells, but Loganlea’s finishing was deadly and they ended up winning with ease. Many thanks to the guys who turned up injured and played to make up the numbers and to another who could easily have called off as his son was sick.

The lesson from the game is that you need to take your chances when they occur and be tighter in defence. Next game is at home to Dollar Glen on Saturday where a big improvement is anticipated. Riverside man of the match was Peter Marshall who showed his experience in a number of positions throughout the match.
