A bid to raise enough cash to restore Kippen Kirk’s belfry and churchyard has raised almost £2000 toward its target.

The fundraising effort by Kippen Heritage Group aims to raise £24,000 to return Kippen’s iconic landmark to its former glory. To date £1790 has been raised. Urgent repairs are required to stabilise 19 memorials at risk of falling.

Only the ruined church’s gable and belfry remain and the first stage of the work will be to repair masonry considered dangerous.
