Stir­ling Farm­ers’ Mar­ket is in the city’s Port Street on Satur­day, De­cem­ber 8 for the first of two preChrist­mas vis­its.

The fo­cus at Satur­day’s mar­ket will be on the finest qual­ity Scot­tish food and drink with 25 traders selling ev­ery­thing you need to cook up some de­li­cious sea­sonal meals.

On of­fer will be High­land beef, award-win­ning pork, high wel­fare rose veal, Scot­tish fish and shell­fish, wild veni­son and game, hand­made pre­serves, cheeses, sour­dough breads and pas­tries, free range hens’ and ducks’ eggs, olives and deli prod­ucts, hand­made pre­serves and home-baked cakes.

And to ac­com­pany the food­stuffs is a se­lec­tion of fruit wines, ciders, craft beers, mead and gins.

Gifts in­clude hand­made soaps, jew­ellery and ham­pers while lo­cal busi­ness Gar­den Tamers with their pop­u­lar se­lec­tion of holly wreaths and dec­o­ra­tions will be present.

The mar­ket will be in the Port Street precinct from 10am-4pm.
