Club bowled over by bumper donation
Stirling Youth Tenpin Bowling Club collected a cheque for £210 from ClubSport Stirling recently.
The club applied to ClubSport Stirling for funding to purchase new indoor tenpin bowling equipment to support their new project for local Stirling primary schools.
It plans to give more primary school children the opportunity to try the sport at school with a range of taster sessions and after school clubs, with support from experienced club members who are keen to pass on their bowling knowledge to the younger generations.
“This is a really exciting time for Stirling Youth Tenpin Bowling Club and the development of tenpin bowls,”said Ruth Henderson, Active Stirling’s Community Activation Officer. “Since the club formed in 2002 they have been prominent on the national and international stage for Scottish tenpin bowling, and this project will allow their experienced members to teach their skills to the younger generations at primary schools.
“Well done to the club and we look forward to seeing the club in our local primary schools.”If you would like get involved with Stirling Youth Tenpin Bowling Club (SYTBC), please contact Maureen on maureen.addison@ lineone.net.
