-

Police in Forth Valley are urging the pubic to remain vigilant after two card– skimming devices were discovered on a cash machine

The gadgets were found attached to an ATM at the Morrisons supermarket in Clackmannan Road in Alloa on Saturday, December 15.

Inquiries so far have not identified any individuals who have been affected, but members of the public who have recently used this cash machine are asked to check with their bank and report any criminality to police.

Sergeant Scott Thomson said: “As part of this investigation we are eager to speak with anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious activity around the ATM at Morrisons prior to Saturday December 15.

“Members of the public are reminded to check for obvious signs of tampering at the top of a cash machine, near the speakers, the side of the screen, the card reader itself, and the keyboard. If something looks out of place, do not use that ATM and contact police.’’

Scots actor Stuart McQuarrie is to face trial over accusations his pedigree hunting hound slaughtered sheep.

McQuarrie, 55, is said to have been in charge of the dog, a Korthals Griffon, when the animal allegedly chased and bit sheep “to their distress, injury and death”.

The alleged incident is said to have taken place on farmland at Dumbrock Muir, Strathblane, near Mugdock Country Park.

The single charge against him alleges that the 28 Days Later star, who also appeared in the first Trainspotting film as Gav, was both the owner and the person in charge of the animal – which is classified by the Kennel Club as a gundog – when the sheep were attacked by it on March
