Social care on agenda

-

Ways to improve health and social services for adults in Stirling and Clackmannanshire will be on the agenda at four public meetings this month.

People are being asked how they think a number of NHS and council services should be delivered over the next three years.

Interim chief officer for the Clackmannanshire and Stirling Health and Social Care Partnership Ian Aitken, said: “We want people to live full and positive lives within supportive communities. Our plan for the next three years will look at how we will achieve this vision and what our priorities will be so it’s really important to hear what local people think.

“This is your opportunity to influence the way a wide range of local health and social care services are developed and delivered in the future as the feedback from these meetings will inform our new strategic plan.”

Officials say the integration of health and social care services is aimed at delivering more personalised, joined-up care, especially for people with long-term conditions and disabilities.

The community consultation meetings have been arranged as follows: McLintock Hall, Balfron on Monday, January 14 from 2-4pm; Ludgate House, Alloa on Thursday, January 17 from 7-9pm;

Callander Kirk on Monday, January 21 from 7-9pm and Holy Trinity Church, Dumbarton Road, Stirling on Tuesday, January 22 from 2-4pm.
