City X Country first
Stirling is set to welcome thousands of visitors this Saturday for a sporting spectacular climaxing with the SimplyHealth Great Stirling XCountry.
It is the first time the city has hosted the world-famous event which has been held in Edinburgh for the last 13 years.
A number of roads will be closed to accommodate the runners including: Queens Road, Royal Gardens, Greenwood Avenue, Ballengeich Road/Pass, Upper Castlehill, Dumbarton Road West, Albert Place and Park Avenue.
Spectators will be able to see top athletes, including Scottish star Laura Muir, battle it out as Great Britain and Northern Ireland take on Europe and the USA in the televised event. More on the event on page 47.
