Artsfund forcycle routes

-

Community groups across Scotland can now apply for up to £5,000 in funding for artistic and visual improvements to their National Cycle Network routes.

The ArtRoots fund aims to support local enterprise and culture, as well as encourage community groups to help shape their local environment and increase their physical activity levels.

The fund seeks to empower communities to make improvements to their National Cycle Network routes which will make their journeys more attractive and enjoyable.

Funded by Transport Scotland and delivered by Sustrans, the ArtRoots Fund has helped community groups like East Haven Together, who are now able to celebrate their village’s maritime heritage with the installation of a striking chainsaw-carved redwood bench.

Community groups across Scotland who could benefit from the funding are encouraged to submit an online expression of interest form on the Sustrans website.
