Ibiza vibe at city’s first dance music festival
Stirling’s first outdoor dance music festival organised by two city DJs will take place at Bridgehaugh later this month.
Subliminal Events will be throwing their first ever house festival - both outdoor and indoor - in the grounds of Stirling County Rugby Club in the shadow of the Wallace Monument on Saturday, June 29.
Promoted by Stirling DJs
John Devlin and Stevie Laird, it will feature a host of guest DJs spinning the very best in dance music.
Known for their popular clubnights, all-dayers and amazing boat parties on the Forth at South Queensferry, the promoters are now turning their attention to Subliminal Summer Soundsystem Festival 2019.
Attractions on the day will be the outdoor boombox stereo stage, a gin and cocktail bar, an artisan foodtruck, an ice cream vendor, Chinese noodle bar, a glitz and glamour artist, face painters and more.
John said: “This has been on our minds for a few years, but other commitments got in the way of planning it. Followers and fans of our Subliminal nights always urged us to do it.
“The concept was always about creating that perfect summer Ibiza vibe – outdoor dancing to house music in the sun building up a great atmosphere surrounded by dance music lovers.
“This is our first outdoor dance festival and we are looking to expand it next year to make it even bigger with more high-profile artists.”
Early-bird tickets are now sold out. but full-price tickets at £20 can be purchased online at www.tickets-scotland.com or from Europa Music and The Corn Exchange, Stirling, and
Forty Clothing, Exchange Square, Glasgow.
There will be free parking at the site on the day and also a designated taxi pick-up and dropoff zone within the grounds of the rugby club. The festival opens at 2pm and closes at 1am.
