with many more fish being lost than actually landed. Many anglers expressed frustratio­n at the light takes and lost fish.

The fish were generally around two to three feet down but were happy to come up to take dry flies when offered. Favourite patterns this week included the usual lures such as Cat’s Whisker, Ally McCoist and Dancer; nymphs including Hare’s Ear, Diawl Bach and Olive; wet and dry flies with Kate McLaren, Bibio, Hopper and Spider being the most popular.

On the bait pond Mouse Tails, Maggots and various colours of Power Bait were the most successful.

Top bags were: Danny Doherty (Denny) five for 16lb 8oz including a Brown, plus one c/r; Graeme Arthur (Stirling) four for 16lb including 4lb 12oz Rainbow and two Blues; John Moonie (Queenziebu­rn) three for 13lb 40z including two Golds; Willie Martin (Stirling) four for 9lb 12oz from the Meadow Pond; George Dobbie (Glasgow) three for 10lb 8oz including two Blues; Andy Duffin (Cowie) three for 9lb 12oz plus six c/r; Gavin Johnston two for 6lb 8oz including a Gold; Ricky Goodwin (Larbert) 4lb Rainbow; Colin Hay eight c/r; Mark Bradley six c/r; Tom Clark (Stirling) six c/r in two visits; Jordan Duncan four c/r; John Darroch three c/r including a Tiger.

Some of the catches from the bait pond included Ross Martin three for 10lb 4oz including two Golds; Robbie Livingston three for 6lb 8oz including two Browns and Chris Hendry and Benny Tortolano shared three for 7lb 8oz.

GLENBERVIE FISHERY

The weather was wet, cloudy and warm. Good news is that fish started to feed again on top. On fly this week: D Queen had seven, John Gray landed six, J McCann got two, J Higgins landed two for 4lb, D Nolan got three, Bob Wright caught five, Stephen Sweeney had two, Scott Murphy released 12, Brian Harper had three, Alan Harper c/r six, Bob Young and John Patrick caught four each, David Ford had nine, Peter McCuish landed five, Colin Easton had three, Gary Graham caught six.

The most successful patterns this week: Fabs, various Buzzers, Cheese Egg Fly, Gold Head Damsel, Sedges and Yellow Owl.

On bait: J Waters caught three, Jamie Wilson had two and A Falconer with father had three each.

Football summer camps for youngsters take place as follows: Dunblane High School- week beginning July 15 and July 22. Forthbank Stadium - week beginning July 29, August 5 and August 12.

Full week tickets for five-six year olds are £44 and seven-14 year olds £88. Daily tickets can also be booke starting at £11 for five-six year olds and £22 for seven-14 year olds.
