CHURCH OF THE HOLY RUDE

Sunday’s joint service with Viewfield Erskine will take place at 11am in the Holy Rude and will be conducted by Rev Alan Miller. There will be a short service for Health and Wholeness in the St Andrew’s Chapel immediatel­y following morning service. All welcome. Prayer Cards available in St Andrew’s Chapel. The church choir will be presenting a Service of Nine Lessons and Carols on Sunday, December 15 at 6.30pm followed by seasonal refreshmen­ts in the South Aisle. The next social event in the church will be an Auction of Talents evening on Friday, November 22 at 7pm. Tickets £10 to include wine or soft drink and canapes, may be purchased from Findlay McIntosh, Fliss Gale, Sara McKinlay, Alison Dale and Barbara Rogers.

HOLY TRINITY EPISCOPAL CHURCH

On Friday, Holy Communion will take place at 11am and on Sunday, Holy Communion will be at 8.30am followed by All Age Eucharist at 10.30am. The November Fellowship Groups will meet on Wednesday, November 20 at 10.30am at the Rectory and on Thursday, November 21 at 8.15pm in the choir vestry. No need to sign up, just come along. This year’s Advent Study Groups will be reflecting on some of the great Advent Antiphons, featuring some of the Messianic titles which have become associated with Jesus in the early church. As in previous years, two groups will be held (Wednesdays at 10.30am on December 4, 11 and 18 and Thursdays at 8.15 pm on December 5, 12 and 19 ). Sign-up sheets will be available from next week. Tots Cafe meets in the church hall every Monday at 10am. A volunteer co-ordinator is required and would suit someone looking for unpaid work to build up a record of work experience or as a volunteer commitment.
