MENSTRIE PARISH CHURCH

Rev Helen Cook led the Remembranc­e Service on Sunday and representa­tives from various organisati­ons laid wreaths at the War Memorial afterwards. Rev Barry Hughes of St Mark’s Church, Stirling has been appointed as the Interim Moderator during vacancy and he will lead worship on Sunday. Tea in Two takes place on Wednesdays from 10.30-11.30am; call in for a cuppa and a chat. Collection­s continue for The Gate food bank in Alloa with deliveries made at the end of each month; all donations gratefully received. On Saturday, November 30 the Christmas Fayre will take place from 10 am-noon. Refreshmen­ts and home baking will be available along with a variety of stalls to suit all ages. Tickets priced at £2.50 can be obtained from any elder or at the door.

BOWLING CLUB

Winter quiz and karaoke will be held on Saturday, November 16, tickets available £5 each from any committee member or contact John Millar on mobile 07709 058642. All welcome.

CHRISTMAS APPEAL

Riverside Veterinary Clinic is appealing on behalf of Bandeath Dog Shelter and the Cats Protection League. Hand in food, blankets and towels, beds, collars, leads, toys and treats, bowls, dog coats, bruishes and combs, litter trays, cat litter to the clinic at 36 Forth Crescent, Riverside.

COMMUNITY COUNCIL DROP-IN

The next drop-in will be at the Riverbank Centre today (Wednesday) from 1.30 - 3pm. All welcome.

RIVERSIDE MUSIC PROJECT

The project supports family and community learning of traditiona­l music in the Stirling area. The next session is on Sunday, November 17 from 6.30-8am at Stirling Rowing Club, Dean Crescent. All ages, abilities and instrument­s welcome.

CARPET BOWLS

Over 60s play in the Mayfield Centre from 2-4 pm on Mondays.

ST NINIANS COMMUNITY CHURCH

RE:Fresh Cafe is open on Friday, November 15 from 11am-12.45pm. Sunday service is at 10.30am. Both events in the Mayfield Centre. All welcome.

ST NINIANS OLD PARISH CHURCH

The Bible Study Group will meet tonight (Wednesday) at 7.30pm. There will be a coffee morning in the Parish Halls tomorrow (Thursday) at 10.30am. All welcome. Service on Sunday at 10.30am will be conducted by Rev Gary McIntyre. There will be a creche and the Sunday Club will meet. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be served in the Parish Halls following the service. The Tuesday Group will meet on November 19 when there will be a demonstrat­ion of Christmas Floral Art.

CIVIL DEFENCE CLUB

Two sessions of bingo on Sunday. Eyes down 8pm, jackpot £100 in second session. Entertainm­ent on Saturday by Billy Hammond. The hall is available for hire for free on Fridays.

COUNCILLOR’S SURGERY

Councillor Chris Kane will be in the Mayfield Centre tonight (Wednesday) at 6.30pm.

ST NINIANS UF CHURCH

On Sunday the service at 11am will be conducted by Rev Martin Keane. Children’s activities will take place at the same time and the evening service at 7pm will also be conducted by Mr Keane. On Tuesday XTB Club for those in P1P6 meets in the church hall from 6.30 -7.30pm followed by Source for those in P7-S2 from 7.30-8.30pm.
