YDance (Scottish Youth Dance) - the national dance organisation for children and young people in Scotland – is seeking youth dance groups to perform at the national youth dance performance platform, Destinations 2020.

‘Destinations’is a vibrant showcase of the best youth dance companies from across Scotland.

The event – held at Macrobert Arts Centre, Stirling on Saturday March 7 – brings together national youth dance talent in an exciting evening of diverse performances, providing groups with dancers aged 12 – 21 the opportunity to showcase their own creative piece of work.

A number of groups will be selected to perform alongside other companies from across the country, including the National Youth Dance Company of Scotland.

Youth dance groups from anywhere in Scotland are invited to apply. Groups must not include more than 15 dancers, and all dancers must be aged 12 to 21 (dancers with disabilities aged up to 25 can apply).

The dance piece must be between two and seven minutes long and all groups must submit footage of their piece when they apply.

The selection panel will watch all submitted footage and select dance pieces to create a programme that reflects the diversity of dance styles practiced across Scotland, demonstrates excellence in performance, and showcases engaging and exciting choreography.

Any group who would like to apply should visit www. ydance.org for more information. Deadline for applications is Sunday January 19.
