Health board chairperson encourages applicants as time in role comes to end
Forth Valley Health Board is seeking a new chairperson.
The second four-year tenure of the current incumbent, Alex Linkston, ends in February after which he must stand down.
A salary of £31,149 per year – for three days’work per week – goes to the the holder of the post along with an opportunity to help shape the future of area’s health services and ensure the board is working effectively, efficiently and in the best interest of people here.
“This is a challenging and rewarding role,”added Mr Linkston, a former chief executive of West Lothian Council.
“We are inviting applications from people from all walks of life who should be sensitive to the diverse needs of the population and the health and care services which affect them.

NHS Forth Valley provides a wide range of health services and support for more than 306,000 people living in the Falkirk, Stirling and Clackmannanshire council areas.
The development of tele-health is high on the agenda, as are plans to expand capacity at Forth Valley Royal Hospital and increase the range of services available at GP practices across the health board area.
Work is also underway to advance the integration of a wide range of health and social care services with council and community partners.
