For Tinkerbells Emporium, it’s the most magical time of the year
Enchanting its customers is an everyday delight for Tinkerbells Emporium.
This unique little fairy shop sparkled recently at the Scottish Business Awards where it was awarded Best Gift Shop for Stirling and Falkirk 2019 another award to add to its impressive accolades. Winning best business for Stirling the two years previously, this most recent award positions it to take the Best Gift Shop for Scotland in summer next year.
Since opening three years ago, this magical Friars Street shop has become the “go-to-place” for anyone looking for a “gift with a difference” selling everything magical, delightful, mysterious and unique.
As well as stocking a host of fairy and magic-inspired items, individual and whimsical gifts, owner Lisa Davidson hopes visitors will experience the sense of fun and inspiration which she enjoys daily in the shop, a little treasure trove which is her own bespoke design.
And there’s no more magical a time to visit than at Christmas, when the store transforms into a festive winter wonderland, with children getting the chance to send off their very own letters to Santa himself.
Lisa said: “Children can post their letter in Santa’s post box. Once the snow fairies take the letters to the North Pole, the fairies and I write back to each child individually, telling the tale of the snow fairies’ journey - and of course, sending them a little gift from the shop, all free.”
Children and their families enjoy the special atmosphere of the shop all year round, especially at the children’s fairy-themed birthday parties hosted in the shop every Sunday.
“These have been an absolutely massive success with next year’s diary already filling up,” said Lisa.
The attraction of Tinkerbells Emporium, however, spans the generations.
Among the adults eager to make a return visit are Carnegie Medalwinning children’s author Theresa
