Jardine breakshis goalduck
Midfielder Danny Jardine was delighted to end his 12-month wait for a goal with the opener in Saturday’s 2-0 win against Annan Athletic at Forthbank.
The 21 year-old scored three times in the second half of 2017/18 while on loan from St Johnstone but his only goals last season were against Berwick Rangers and Clyde in November.
Jardine (pictured celebrating his goal with Darryl Duffy) has started every League 2 game for the Binos this term and has missed some good chances to open his account but made no mistake with his diving header against Annan.
Stirling University student Nicole Ritchie retained her British University Championships in slalom and giant slalom at the Hillend dry ski slope near Edinburgh.
The 24 year-old was first overall in both disciplines and her title adds to her British Universities champion on snow.
Finance student Nicole is currently training in Austria and will be training and racing throughout Austria, France, Italy, Canada and Switzerland over the next five months. She aims to race in the difficult Europa Cup League in 2020.
She has just arrived back from racing in the New Zealand and Australian Championships where she had some impressive results and top 10 places (sixth and seventh) at her first races of the season. She will be looking to score points at FIS and Europa Cup races and is looking forward to racing in The Welsh Championships where earlier this year she was top British finisher and bronze medallist and had podium places at the English Championships in Bormio, Italy and the GB championships in Tignes, France.
She is the current Scottish champion on Indoor artificial slopes (five consecutive years) and outdoor artificial slopes (nine consecutive years).
