LOCAL HISTORY SOCIETY

Alan McBride, Country Park Ranger at Mugdock, will give an illustrate­d talk on “The Elephant, the Marquis and the Castle* on Thursday, November 28 at 7.45pm in the village hall. New members and visitors welcome. Annual subscripti­on is £7 or admission for a single meeting, £2, payable at the door.

At the meeting of Thursday, November 14, local interior designer Claire Kendall gave an interestin­g talk on her training, and her career from working on shop displays to show homes and a wedding palace in Russia. She gave members tips on use of colour ,wallpaper, lighting and accessorie­s to change the look a room. Liz McCaig gave the vote of thanks. SENIOR CITIZENS ANNUAL CHRISTMAS DINNER

The annual dinner is being held at the Rob Roy Motel on Monday, December 9 at 6pm for 6.30pm. Transport can be arranged. Anyone requiring transport please contact a member of Strathard Community Council. Where possible organisers will arrange for home uplifts, however there will be the following uplift points - Kinlochard, Limecraig Avenue, Manse Road, The Garage all at 5.30pm. room at the church. Entrance £2.50. All welcome.

CRAFT FAYRE

Christmas craft fayre and coffee afternoon will be held on Saturday, November 30 from noon to 5pm in the McLaren Hall. A good selection of craft and business selling tables. Raising funds for 2nd Killin and District Scout Groups.

KILLEARN KIRK

Rev Stuart Sharp will lead the service on Sunday at 10.30am. Kirk Kids also meet at that time as they prepare for Christmas. Creche facilities will be available. Women’s Bible Study and Fellowship Group meets on Monday, November 25 at 1.15pm. After the Communion Service on Sunday, December 1 there will be an Advent Soup Luncheon to which everyone is invited.
