The Weather Report with Scott McLean
After a reasonably dry and calm November, the first week of December saw the return to more wet and windy conditions with over two inches of rainfall last weekend.
Our maximum wind speed recorded for the week in the Stirling city area was 47mph on Thursday, December 5 – our highest since January.
The maximum temperature was 12.3 Centigrade on Thursday, December 5, with a low of 6.3 Centigrade on Sunday, December 1.
The maximum daily rainfall occurred on Saturday, December 7, with 28.2 millimetres, while the weekly total was 51.3 millimetres.
Looking to the week ahead, after a wet and windy Tuesday it will remain unsettled mid-week with blustery showers affecting the area.
A drop in the temperature during the second half of the week and over the weekend will mean wet weather will turn more wintry and the risk of wintry conditions will remain for the rest of the week and into the weekend.
Visit our website at www. stirlingweather.co.uk for the latest forecast of any wintry conditions.
The earliest sunrise will be 8.37am with the earliest sunset at 3.40pm.
