M&Sto donate surplus food

-

A city centre shop is urging community groups to sign up to a surplus food initiative.

M&S say every store across Scotland will be donating surplus food to a community cause in its area.

The Stirling branch is looking for local community organisations to join the scheme.

M&S Stirling, is encouraging community groups to get in touch with digital platform Neighbourly to form a partnership with the store and receive its surplus food .

David Bates, head of region for M&S in the west of Scotland, said: “It’s so important that food doesn’t go to waste when it can be donated to those in communities who need it.

“We are so pleased that every single M&S store across Scotland is donating their food surplus to charity and we are excited to hear from more groups who could benefit from this initiative.”
