The Weather Report
December is certainly making up for the dry November we had in Stirling.
There was 64 per cent more rainfall in the first two week’s in December than the whole of November. In fact, last week alone we recorded 106 millimetres while the November total was only 96 millimetres.
Nearly half of that weekly total fell on December 10, when two inches of rainfall, accompanied by near 50mph wind gusts, resulted in road and school closures in some areas of Stirling.
It wasn’t a cold week. With all the rain and wind in the area, temperatures reached double figures.
The maximum temperature touched 12.2 Centigrade on December 10, with a low of -0.3 Centigrade on December 13.
