Ballet West in Stirling

Ballet West will stop in Stirling in February during a tour of Swan Lake.

They will be at the Macrobert on Friday, February 14 and Saturday, February 15.

The production has been adapted by Ballet West’s artistic advisor Daniel F Job.

Norton Fantinel and Karina Moreira from Brazil are former soloists with the Ballet du Capitole, Toulouse.

Norton takes on the role of Prince Siegfried and Karina the dual role of Odette and Odile.

They will be supported by a total of nearly 100 young dancers from Ballet West’s Upper School in Taynuilt and students from the Ballet West High Performanc­e Lower School in Oban including 2019 Genée Internatio­nal Ballet Competitio­n medalist Ashton Parker and fellow finalist Caitlin Jones.

Ballet West’s principal Gillian Barton said:“Ballet West’s Scottish tours provide an essential element in the training of the dance artists of the future.

“Our classical ballet tours provide a wonderful opportunit­y for students to dance alongside experience­d profession­al dancers.

“The high artistic standards achieved in our production­s never fail to attract appreciati­ve audiences of all ages.”

The Feburary 14 show is at 7.30pm and there are two shows on February 15 – 2.30pm and 7.30pm.
