SCOTTISH COUNTRY DANCE

Classes in the new location of Port of Menteith Village Hall are held every Wednesday until April 1 from 7.30pm until 9.30pm. For more details telephone Allan at 01877 385236 . Fun and gentle exercise. All welcome to come along and take part.

CONCERT

The latest concert at St Mary’s Episcopal Church is on Sunday, January 19 at 3pm. Cellist Sarah Harrington and Stephen Adam (piano) met whilst working for Scottish Opera and have performed together regularly over the years in recitals for charities and local groups. Their programme featrures The Swan (Saint Saens); Tango (Albeniz); Apres un Reve (Faure) and Cello Sonata by Diana Hamilton, a new commission written by Diana who lives on the Isle of Arran and recorded by Stephen and Sarah. Retiring collection.

PARISH CHURCH

Service on Sunday will be at 11.15am with worship being conducted by the Rev Dr Valerie Allen. The next lunch for the elderly will be on Tuesday, January 28 at the Forth Inn. Leaflets will be distribute­d however if you feel you meet the criteria and would like to attend the Blether with the Bard contact Janet or Morna.

ST MARY’S SCOTTISH EPISCOPAL CHURCH

On Sunday at 8am, Holy Communion (Anglican Book of Common Prayer) is at St Anthony’s RC Church, Balfron and 11.15am Holy Communion at St Mary’s.
