538 hoggets (39.1-44.5kg) averaged 212p pkg (+3p on the week). Overall sale average for 1251 hoggets was 202.3p pkg (-1.1p) selling to a top of 260p pkg from RA Campbell, Meikle Seggie for a cracking 40kg Beltex.

Top price of the day went to Doune Farms, West Lundie for an outstandin­g Beltex at 50kg realising £119.

Heavy ewes averaged £102.53 selling to £151 for five tremendous Texels from P McIntosh, Strageath, Muthill. Export ewes averaged £65.59 selling to £74 for Cheviots from N Campbell, Ardgualich, Pitlochry. Cast rams sold to a top of £140 for a Suffolk from J McAdam, Callendoun­e, Helensburg­h.
