The community-run lending library in Our Dumyat Centre is open on Mondays 10am-2.30pm, Thursdays 5pm-7pm, Fridays 10am-noon and Saturdays 10.30am-1pm every week. Bookbug takes place on Tuesdays from 10.30am to 11am for those from aged up to five. The library can be used as a study space this year for all your exam study needs including computers Membership is free and is available to all. More informatio­n can be found at @ourdumyatc­entre.

MENSTRIE PARISH CHURCH

During vacancy, Rev Barry Hughes of St Mark’s Church Stirling is the Interim Moderator. Menstrie Worship Group led the service on Sunday and this was followed by lunch in the halls. Rev Helen Cook will lead worship on February 2, 9 and 16. Tea in Two takes place weekly, on Wednesdays between 10.30am and 11.30am; please pop in for a cuppa and a chat. The first meeting of the Guild for 2020 on Monday, January 27 was “A Celebratio­n of Burns” with Mrs Margaret Sherry as the special guest. The churchb continues to collect for The Gate foodbank in Alloa and would welcome any donations. All welcome to services and activities.

MENSTRIE UF CHURCH

Sunday worship at 10am will be conducted by Rev. Jason Lingiah, continuing the series in the Letter to the Phiillipia­ns. Prayer meeting and bible study on Tuesday, February 4 at 10.30am in the church, followed by a short meeting of the Church Courts to approve the 2019 accounts. The Sacrament of Communion and the AGM will be on Sunday, February 23 at 10am. There will be a coffee morning with children’s activities on the first day of the Easter school holidays on Monday, April 6 from 10am-1pm. BOWLING CLUB

The club’s Annual General Meeting will be on Sunday, February 9 at 2pm in the clubhouse, a good attendance would be appreciate­d.

COMMUNITY COUNCIL

Meeting tonight (Wednesday)at 7.15pm at the Riverbank Centre. Come along and meet your community councillor­s, hear what’s happening in Riverside and tell them what matters to you. Guest speaker is David Love, Developmen­t Management Team Leader (Planning and Building Standards), who will talk about the Forthside Developmen­t and answer questions. All welcome.

Over 60s play in the Mayfield Centre from 2-4 pm on Mondays.

CIVIL DEFENCE CLUB

Two sessions of bingo on Sunday, eyes fown 8pm. with £100 jackpot in the second session. Entertainm­ent on Saturday by Jimmy Mac. Hall can be hired for free on Fridays.

Re:Fresh Cafe with tea, coffee and cakes on Fridays from 11am to 12.45pm and Sunday service at 10.30am. Both held in the Mayfield Centre. All welcome.

ST NINIANS OLD PARISH CHURCH

There will be a Soup and Sandwich lunch in the Parish Halls on Saturday, February 1 from noon until 1.30pm. The service on Sunday at 10.30am will be conducted by Rev Gary McIntyre. Sunday Club will meet and following the service there will be a short Family Communion. Tuesday Group will meet on February 4 at 7.30pm in the Parish Halls. Articles for the church newsletter should be submitted by February 9.

ST NINIANS UF CHURCH

On Sunday the service at 11am will be conducted by Rev Martin Keane. Children’s activities take place at the same time. Evening service at 7pm will be conducted by Mr Keane. On Tuesdays, XTB Club for P1-P6 meets in the church hall from 6.30-7.30pm followed by Source for those in P7-S2 from 7.30– 8.30pm.
