Purr-fect chance to help with cat project

-

Feline welfare charity Cats Protection is appealing for volunteers in the Forth Valley area.

A new team of dedicated volunteers has been set up managed by Cats Protection’s community neutering officer for Scotland Yvette Malone who runs community outreach projects in the area.

Yvette said:“Neutering, which prevents cats from reproducing, has a wide range of benefits and results in healthier, happier cats.

“We are looking for driven volunteers to help us reach more people and to spread our neutering message further in order to help more cats.”

Flexible volunteer roles are available throughout Stirling, Falkirk and Clackmannan which include Community Cat Champion, Transport, Social Media and Trap, Neuter, Return volunteers, all of which will help towards the goal of making neutering a social norm.

Volunteers will also assist in promoting and leading a local campaign to help people with low incomes in the FK postcode area get their own cats neutered and microchipped for £5.

Yvette added:“If you feel passionate about helping animals, this is an amazing opportunity to assist cats and help communities learn the benefits of neutering. Join us now and help make a positive and long lasting impact to cat welfare in Scotland’’

Volunteers interested in the Transport and Trap Neuter, Return roles must have a car and full clean driver’s licence.

If interested in volunteering, or if you know of any cats needing help, contact Yvette on 07392864000 or via email: Yvette.Malone@ Cats.org.uk.
