Last week was a pleasant spring week with plenty of sunny intervals.

After a cold start on each day with a weekly low temperature of -3.8 Centigrade on Monday, April 12, the temperature quickly increased, peaking at 16.2 Centigrade on Saturday.

It was another dry week with only 0.25mm of rainfall which up until the end of the weekend took the monthly rainfall so far during April to a very low 5mm.

The maximum wind gust recorded was 19mph on Sunday, April 11.

Looking at the week ahead, after a few light showers at the beginning of the week it will be another dry week and weekend ahead with plenty of sunny intervals. Similar to last week, overnight lows will be close to freezing and then the temperature will quickly rise to the mid-teens with the developing sunny intervals.

In the sun it will feel pleasant but although the wind will be light it will be from a northerly direction so away from direct sunlight and in the shade it will feel chilly at times.

Did You know - on Monday, April 12, we experienced our lowest April“feels like temperature”since our records began in 2009. Although the official air temperature was -3.8 Centigrade with the brisk northerly wind taken into consideration the temperature felt more like -6.9 Centigrade.
