Gordon’s vegetable medley back at market
Stirling Farmers’Market will be back on Port Street on Saturday, July 24 with popular vegetable producer Gordon Caldwell making a return.
Gordon said that he is looking forward to coming back to the city centre.
“We always miss a couple of markets in late spring when we’ve no veggies ready for picking,”said Gordon.“But this year we lost a couple of crops due to the late frosts too so we’ve been absent for longer than usual.
“It’ll be great to be back this week though – customers in Stirling always love getting their fresh seasonal veg so we’ll make sure the stall is piled high with carrots, courgettes, beetroot, broccoli, onions, tomatoes and much more besides.”
This week’s market will also be showcasing Highland beef; Arbroath roasted coffee beans and handmade soaps and bath products.
Although restrictions are easing further, physical distancing measures will still be in place on Port Street so the market will still be running at half capacity.
The organisers ask that you give other shoppers space and use the hygiene stations provided. Although face coverings are not required outdoors they are recommended when visiting stalls and all stallholders will be wearing them.
If you have any symptoms, have tested positive or been told to isolate then please stay at home to keep others safe.
Stirling Farmers’Market is held on Port Street, Stirling on the second and fourth Saturday of every month between 10am and 4pm.
