Popular pipers will rock Albert Halls in December

One of Scotland’s best loved homegrown bands are ready to rock Stirling later this year.

The Red Hot Chilli Pipers, who have played everywhere fromT in the Park to the Commonweal­th Games and at the BBC Proms and at Formula One, are in concert in Stirling’s Albert Halls on December 12.

A spokespers­on said: “Pre-pandemic,The Red Hot Chilli Pipers, had one of their busiest years in 2019.

“The bag-rock legends gave Brit Award winner TomWalker a helping hand in reaching number four in the UK charts, courtesy of some good old bagpipes. They also joinedTom at Murrayfiel­d to perform their track before the Scotland vs Italy Six Nations.

“The band jetted off to Japan to perform at the famous Fuji Rocks Festival where they performed to over 50,000.Then it was back to Europe for sell-out tours in

Germany, England and of course, Scotland.

“But they can’t wait to get back to Stirling’s Albert Halls to do what they do best.”

The pipers received Big Hearted Scotland nomination­s for their work for charity worldwide and have twice been named‘Best Live Act in Scotland’.

They have a gold disc for selling more than 100,000 copies of their first album -‘Bagrock to the Masses’ - in the UK and their third album and DVD‘Blast Live’ gained triple platinum album status.

Their viral cover of the Avicci track‘Wake Me Up’ has 3.5million views on YouTube.

The spokespers­on added: “This is bagpipes with attitude, drums with a Scottish accent and a show so hot it carries its own health warning.

“The band’s achievemen­ts have reached incredible heights with their groundbrea­king fusion of traditiona­l Scottish music and rock/pop anthems which they proudly call ‘Bagrock’.”

With sellout tours across the world, including in the USA, China, Australia and the Middle East, the band also boasts fans such as Ewan McGregor, Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Alex Ferguson, Gary Player,The Scottish RugbyTeam, Her Majesty the Queen and Samuel L Jackson.

Tickets for the Stirling gig cost £29.50 and can be accessed through Eventbrite or the Albert Halls box office.
