STIRLING HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR PRIZEGIVIN­G

This online event can be viewed on www.stirlinghi­gh.co.uk/young-people/ prizegivin­g. Speakers this year were Bryony Monaghan, interim head of education for Stirling Council and Sarah Speake, who was head girl in 1988 and sponsor of the Sarah Speake Award for Services to Music.

Sarah is a former global CMO executive and internatio­nal sales director with more than 20 years’ experience. She founded Speake Up Consulting to help businesses deliver profitable performanc­e through aligning board, business and brand. She is also a mentor and qualified coach.

ST MODAN’S HIGH SUPPORTED STUDY

S1-3 pupils: Homework Help Club is running on a Wednesday at lunch in Social Subjects. Come along with your lunch and get some help with your next IRIS homework.

For Nat 5s and Highers: Geography (Tuesday lunchtime), Modern Studies (Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday lunchtime and Wednesday after school), History (Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday lunchtime) and Business (drop-in sessions arranged with Miss Kettles or Miss Sinclair).

S6 PREFECT TEAM

We are delighted to introduce the S6 Prefect team. Head Prefects Jessica Egdell, Eavan White, Robbie Allan and Violet MaitlandSm­ith organised the first prefect meeting.

BUDDY LUNCH

S6 buddies enjoyed lunch outside with the new S1s recently.

NATIONAL PRAYER COMPETITIO­N

Four pupils achieved success in the Knights of St Columba national prayer competitio­n. More than 100 pupils submitted entries during lockdown. Winners were presented with their prizes and enjoyed a hot chocolate to celebrate.

DUMYAT PINK RIBBON WALK

Congratula­tions to S6 pupils and staff who completed a charity walk up Dumyat. Thanks to the pupils who organised the event.

CHARITY CYCLE

Congratula­tions to Connell O’Hare (S3) who completed a 300 mile cycle for Cancer Research UK last month.
