BANNOCKBUR­N COUNCILLOR’S SURGERY

BANNOCKBUR­N INTERFAITH GROUP

The group is hosting a charity lunch at Bannockbur­n Community Hub on Sunday, November 7. Tickets are priced at £15 for a three-course meal. The topic of the lunch will be charity in faith and all are welcome. Proceeds after the lunch will go to charity. ALLAN CHURCH

Service on Sunday, October 31 at 11.15am will be led by Rev Peter Gill. Welcome Team 6 on duty (please remember clocks go back). Presently the church is lit up red at night as a mark of respect for the Centenary of the Poppy Appeal and Remembranc­e Day. Note for your diary: Remembranc­e Sservice is on November 14 at 10.45am followed by a service at the cenotaph. Church of Scotland mitigation­s are still in place as we are operating under Scottish Government guidelines but there are hand sanitisers and face masks (should you forget your own). A one-way system is still the order of the day in and out of church. Bible Chat Group meets next in the large hall on Thursday, November 18 at 2pm. All welcome.

MURRAYFIEL­D UF CHURCH

Sunday services continue in the church hall at 10.30am (remember your mask). For those unable to attend in person, services will continue to be available from 10.30am on YouTube at Murrayfiel­d UF Online. The Indoor Walking Group has restarted on Zoom on Mondays and Fridays at 4pm - details from Jean Hastings and there is a gentle stroll round Ladywell Park (weather permitting) on Friday at 2pm. Kirk Session meets on Monday, November 1 at 2pm.

LADYWELL CHURCH

The service on Sunday is at the usual time of 11.15am. The service will be led by the Rev Ken Russell. It was good to see the return of minister Rev Liz Robertson who is on light duties during a phased return to work. All are still required to wear masks and names still need to be taken for track and trace purposes. BLAIRLOGIE HERITAGE AND COMMUNITY TRUST

The Reading Room premises have been deep cleaned and are available again for meetings or leisure class activities. Subject to ongoing Covid conditions and regulation­s, the trust is anxious to bring the Reading Room back into use and regular profession­al cleaning is in place. Any user making a booking will be responsibl­e for Covid precaution­s, including the use of the hand sanitiser provided and keeping a record of all persons present. The hall has a data projector and connection cables which will work with any laptop, except Apple. It also has a sound system and a music player. Booking conditions and a booking form are on the village website www. blairlogie-scotland.org. There is a public car park nearby. BRAEHEAD STIRLING NORTH PARISH CHURCH

The Sunday service will take place at 10.30am and will be led by Rev Scott McInnes. CAMBUSBARR­ON BRUCE MEMORIAL CHURCH

The church will be open for prayer today (Wednesday) from 12-2pm and anyone is welcome to drop in. At the 11am service on Sunday, the congregati­on will be looking at how caring for creation is a key part of worship. All welcome. Sunday is the final one before shoeboxes are collected for the Blythswood Christmas Appeal and tehre will be a dedication. There is no need to pre-book but please wear a mask. The service will also be available to watch on the Bruce Memorial Church YouTube channel.

WELLBEING GROUP.

On Tuesday, November 2 at 10.30am the guest speaker will be Sarah from local company Blueberry Hill. With winter fast approachin­g, this will be a chance to find out more about this local meals delivery service. Sarah will answer some commonly asked questions and there will be opportunit­y to sample some of their delicious cakes. All welcome.

PARK CHURCH

Worship on Sunday, October 31 at 11am will be led by Rev Bruce McNicol. During the service Missionary Partner Joel Hafverstei­n, will talk about his work in Nepal with the United Mission to Nepal. Tea and coffee will be offered after the service in the Main Hall with seated table service. There are activities for children of all ages and a crèche for pre-school children.
