House to go up in garden

-

A new house is to be built in the garden of a Buchlyvie home.

Stirling Council planners have conditionally approved an application by Mr and Mrs W Johnstone to build a bungalow in the grounds of Cashley Cottage.

Planners said:“Due to consented development and existing development it is considered that the site would be seen as part of that cluster. Furthermore, there are no issues arising from the proposal concerning residential amenity.

“The proposed curtilage and that remaining attached to the existing house will be comparable with those surrounding in terms of size, shape, amenity and privacy. The proposed house is afforded a degree of privacy comparable with surrounding houses and does not materially affect the privacy and/or daylight of surrounding residential properties.

“In terms of access, the conditions advised by Roads Development Control relating to access, road markings, waste management and parking have been applied to the decision. The applicant is currently concluding the purchase of the access road from the current owner, so by the time the build starts on site they will have full ownership of this. The requirement for the access works and road markings has been applied as a negative suspensive condition and so the timescale for the work is before any works start on site.”
