A Thornhill woman has denied driving in Callander while more than five times over the drink-driving limit.

Kirsten Paterson, of The Glebe, pleaded not guilty on Wednesday to a charge of driving on North Church Street, Callander, on February 17 this year while the proportion of alcohol in her breath was 116mg in 100ml of breath.The limit being 22mg.

The 49-year-old also denied charges of driving without insurance and failing to co-operate with a preliminar­y breath test.

At Stirling Sheriff Court on Wednesday, Sheriff Alison Michie granted bail with the special condition that the accused does not dispose of the car.

Sheriff Michie also set the trial for June 8. Kirsten Paterson was excused attendance at the intermedia­te diet of May 24.
