Meadowpark memories plea
A hotel on the edge of Bridge of Allan is appealing for old photographs and memories of the building.
The Meadowpark on Kenilworth Road will be welcoming overnight guests for only the second time in its history from April 27 following a three-month, half a million pound makeover.
The 103-year-old listed building was originally opened as The Beacon School for Girls in 1919 and merged to become Beaconhurst Grange in 1976.
Euan Bain, director at The Meadowpark, said:“we’re keen to hear from anyone with any old photographs and memories of our listed building from over the last century.
“As the current custodians of this historic gem, we’re interested to learn more about its colourful past from the people who have visited over the years or who may have been former pupils when it was a school.”
People with memories and old photographs of The Meadowpark are being invited to share their thoughts and collections with The Meadowpark team, who are creating a special local history display within the venue. Digital photographs and memories can be emailed to info@ themeadowparkstirling.co.uk
Former pupils of Beacon School for Girls or Beaconhurst Grange are also being invited to enjoy a complimentary dinner with a tour of the full venue from the end of April 2022 by emailing their details to info@themeadowparkstirling.co.uk
