Spat, scratched and hit partner
Sentence on a Thornhill woman who assaulted her partner by pouring liquid from a glass on him has been deferred.
Caroline Macdonald had admitted a charge of assaulting her partner at her former Netherton Farm address on November 9, 2021.
As well as pouring liquid on him, the 59-year-old had spat on him, struck him on the head and repeatedly struck and scratched him on the body. Macdonald had also pleaded guilty to a charge of behaving in a threatening and abusive manner by repeatedly shouting, swearing and acting in an aggressive manner towards police officers during a journey to Falkirk Police Office on the same date by repeatedly uttering offensive remarks.
At Stirling Sheriff Court last Wednesday, Sheriff Keith O’mahony deferred sentence until May 10 for Macdonald, now of Springkerse homeless accommodation, for a good behaviour report and to call alongside other matters.
