ALLAN CHURCH

Service on Sunday, April 10 (Palm Sunday) at 11.15am will be led by Rev Peter Gill with Welcome Team 1 on duty. All welcome. Please take a lateral flow test before coming to church. ALLAN CHURCH TUESDAY COFFEE CLUB

The club will run on the first and third Tuesday of each month due to reduced numbers of helpers. Next meeting is and April 19. It will still be from 10-11.30am. If you would like to help out please come along and speak to a member of the team. Organisers are looking forward to seeing everyone again. ST SAVIOUR’S EPISCOPAL CHURCH

Today (Wednesday) there will be a Quiet Eucharist at 11am in the Choir Vestry. The Lent Course continues in the evening on Zoom. Sunday, April 10 is Palm Sunday - at 10am there is the celebratio­n of Christ’s victorious entry into Jerusalem. Palm crosses will be distribute­d during the service which will be led by Sue White (Lay reader) and Nick Price (Lay reader) will read the Passion narrative from Luke’s Gospel. On Monday, April 11 there will be a celebratio­n of Compline. Compline or Night Prayer is the final service of the day and emphasises spiritual peace. Sue White will be leading Stations of the Cross at 7pm on Tuesday, April 12. The objective of the stations is to help the Christian to make a spiritual pilgrimage along the Via Dolorosa - symbolisin­g the journey of Christ to Calvary. Collection­s continue for The Gate food bank in Alloa and donations of non-perishable goods or cash, if more convenient, are welcome. BOWLING CLUB

Work party preparatio­ns will still be held on Saturday, April 9 from 1-3pm. This will be the last one before Centenary Opening Day on Saturday, April 16 at 2pm. The next management committee meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 19 in the clubhouse at 7pm.

Palm Sunday service at 10.30am will be conducted by Rev Gary McIntyre. All welcome. The service can be viewed on the church YouTube channel. There will be services each evening in Holy Week at 7pm.
