SEX ATTACK BOSS JAILED

Creep preyed on young female workers and assaulted them

- COURT REPORTER

The co-owner of two Callander hotels who preyed on young female workers has been jailed for 18 months.

Gary Adam, 35, a former British Army sergeant,

“used a pattern of systematic abuse” to intimidate and sexually assault the women at the town’s Waverley and Crags Hotels, which sit opposite each other in Main Street.

As he was jailed his own defence solicitor told the court it was “quite clear he needs to work on his attitude towards women”.

A court heard Adam pushed one woman against a wall, put his hand round her neck, kissed her forcibly on the lips, and tried to put his hand down the front of her trousers.

He “dragged” another woman into a hotel room, pushed her back on to the bed, held her arms above her head and tried to kiss her.

He also pounced on her in a car and put his hands inside her underwear.

Sheriff Christopher Shead described Adam’s offences as “grave” when he appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court this week.
