Willie Stirling was born and brought up in the Dunblane area. He is a theatre producer and filmaker who for nine years has run the Trojan Women Project creating psychosocial support and awarenessraising drama projects with Syrian refugees in the UK, EU and Middle East.
He said:“i am standing as a candidate for Dunblane and Bridge of Allan because I believe that the ward, and Stirling as a whole, is poorly served by this administration, not just because of their baffling waste collection measures, or their “crazy paving”style preferences for road and pavement maintenance (among other issues), but because of their apathy and lack of ambition for Stirling as a whole.
“We need to make the best of ourselves, and the council should help our community achieve that aim.”
