WI ensures a tree-mendous welcome to village at Easter

-

Gargunnock WI is making the village even more welcoming this Easter weekend.

Following the success of the Easter Project last year, the WI decided that the event should be continued this year.

A spokesperson said:“as before, there are two parts to the event.

“The first part is the decorating of the trees at the village square with the ladies and helpers carrying out the work.

“This will welcome people coming in to the village and, already, the comments and feedback have been very positive.

“Secondly, all the WI ladies will be decorating their windows and/or a tree or shrub in their front gardens, to brighten up the village and welcome the Spring.

“Everyone in the village is encouraged to participate in this way and, if the standard of last year’s efforts is maintained, then there’s no doubt that it will prove to be a fantastic show.

“Last year many people were seen walking round the village, admiring all the‘exhibits’and no doubt if the weather is good, it should encourage many more this year.”
