How your council decides to spend your money and what its priorities are affects everyone.

I believe it should concentrate on getting the basics right such as efficient waste and recycling collections, improving our roads and pavements, better road safety and providing good schools.

It should help the vulnerable, get behind local businesses, tackle irresponsible and disruptive behaviour robustly and act to protect the environment.

Delivering many services as locally as possible and involving people in how they are delivered would support this.

A local councillor is there to work for and with our communities, be accessible and responsive to people’s issues.

My actions have always supported that approach. You are being asked to elect local councillors to work on your behalf at Stirling Council, trying to ensure the council is efficiently run and using your money well.

That is the job I will keep trying to do if re-elected.
